“We are very sorry but things didn’t go quite as planned. While we passed our state health inspection with flying colors we had to make a few minor changes due to the building inspection. While these changes were made on the same day (Monday) with a rescheduled visit from the building inspectors today, they were a no show. We are hoping that they will have time tomorrow to come and inspect the miniscule changes that needed to be made we can’t promise anything since it is out of our hands when they decide to come. As far as opening our doors we are really hoping that Thursday can be our opening day. We really apologize for the delay, we are very anxious to start serving our great and seemingly patient customers. We appreciate the understanding….”

NOTE: The Columbia Family Restaurant has relocated from its previous location in Columbia borough to the K-mart Shopping Plaza in West Hempfield Township. The Google earth image below shows the Plaza from the Route 462 access point. The restaurant is between Musser’s and K-mart. Lots of parking is available.
