That’s what a father of a student following a school shooting today at Harrisburg High School in Harrisburg, South Dakota. Harrisburg, about 10 miles south of Sioux Falls, has a population of about 5,000.
This is the kind of thing that’s prompted the Columbia Police Department to engage in discussions with the School District about securing a grant to put a school resource officer in the district.
At Monday night’s council of the whole meeting, council approved moving forward on this.
