Fourth Friday events slated

Exciting events for 4th Friday this month are happening at fabshop 26 N 4th St Columbia.

Floral designer, Beth Deliver of “Floral Fantasies by Beth”, will demonstrate terrarium and floral designs for your enjoyment. She will also offer special pricing on her terrariums and driftwood planters that evening.

fabshop is also presenting their “Emerging Young Artist” series beginning with a photography exhibit featuring work by Millersville University grad, Hannah Meier. Meier debuts her abstract portraits series “Rebirth” and “Gemeni” inspired by silent film and film noir. Her exhibit will run through June 3rd. Stop by fabshop to meet Beth and Hannah, view their work and enjoy light refreshments from 6-9pm. Jonal Gallery/DWDesigns Boutique & Custom Frame Shop in the Historic Mt. Bethel Cemetery. Visit the newly re-opened Jonal Gallery/DWDesigns Boutique during the River Towns Fourth Friday Event, May 27, in the Historic Mount Bethel District of Columbia at 653 Locust Street.

Jonal Gallery will provide you with a “Unique Gallery and Boutique Shopping Experience” featuring the exclusive works of Artist and Designer – Dale Weibley. Meet your hosts; John Novak and Artist/Designer – Dale Weibley during this open to the public event, promoted by the Susquehanna Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center 5-9pm.

Dale Weibley’s exciting Pen & Ink stippling style is sure to please the eye in his black & white renderings of historic architecture, events and landmarks of Columbia and the surrounding Susquehanna Valley area. He has also added color to select pieces. His designer fashion accessory pieces will add style and flair to any wardrobe, each unique piece designed and hand assembled in his on premise studio. Each piece is made of “green” recycled fabrics. Dale also accepts commission works of your home, historic landmarks, landscapes and architectural pieces completed in his Pen & Ink style. Garth Gallery will be open with a collection of work from artists in the area.

Susquehanna Center for the Creative Arts (SCCA) is having their “Invitational” and other works on display.

The “ART’S@Hinkle’s will have their doors open to check out the space. They will have some art work hanging and in the window displays.

Through the Fire Studio and Keysha Koy Studio will be open with their latest work on display.

Bootleg Antiques will have the Bootleggers perform in the café and have moonshine and samples available.

Burning Bridge Tavern is featuring Country Music from Michaela & the Wildhearts from Nashville, TN.

Columbia Crossings will be celebrating with Community Railroad Safety Day from 12pm to 5pm. Stay for the evening and listen to Jefrey Woodall playing on his electric guitar on the porch. Music selections from 60s and 70s. Lawn games will be available for friends and family to play.

Fourth Friday Feast will be held from 5pm to 8pm in the 400 Block of Locust Street. Vendor Food Trucks that will be with us are Bountiful Feast, Bricker’s Famous French Fries, Crave Catering Co, Sol Creations, Shorty’s Funnel Cake, Aunt Lydia’s Pretzels, and Sugar Whipped Bakery.

Historic Columbia Market House will be open for everyone to see and visit with our standholders. Many great stands to eat from and enjoy music in the market after 5:30pm.
