The Mayor wants to “Move It!” And he wants you to “Move It!” too.

Leo S. Lutz, Borough of Columbia mayor, recently attended the PA Healthy and Active Communities Summit where he chaired a breakout session entitled, “Economic Development and Community Revitalization in Columbia Borough: Creating a vibrant, livable community by increasing recreation opportunities, walkability, parking, downtown beautification, and business attraction.”

He shared what we know about Columbia … it is a great place to walk … through historic neighborhoods, past architectural gems, across a magnificent bridge spanning a majestic river. The mayor is crusading to get citizens to take advantage of the natural attributes and get fit in the deal. When you see him, ask him about it and how you can get involved.

He is ebullient as he tells you about First Lady Michelle’s “Let’s Move” initiative. Let’s Move is an action plan involving education, activity and healthy eating. It is America’s move to raise a healthier generation of kids. Learn more about Let’s Move here:
