Chamber plans restaurant fair

Join the Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce on Friday, April 15, for a restaurant fair at the Union Meeting House in Marietta.  This year’s event is sponsored by The Turkey Hill Experience and by St. John’s Herr Estate. The restaurant fair will run from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.

Area restaurants will offer samplings of food and beverages for which they are well known.  Participants include

  • Bully’s Restaurant and Pub
  • Golden Stories
  • Hot Z Pizza
  • McCleary’s Public House
  • Nissley Winery
  • St John’s Herr Estate
  • St. John’s Lutheran Church Columbia Meals on Wheels
  • The Flour Child
  • And others…

Please your palate with tastes of soups, Shepherd’s Pie, chili, lasagna, wine, and more. Deserts and pastries will add the perfect finishing touch to your samplings.

The historic Union Meeting House is located at 80 N. Waterford Avenue in Marietta.  Arrangements have been made for parking in the Donegal Insurance Group Fourth Street Parking Lot with shuttle service to and from the event provided by St. John’s Herr Estate. Parking is also available at the Susquehanna Waldorf School and on-street.

Tickets to A Taste of River Towns cost $15.00 per person and are available for your choice of time slots.  The first round of tickets will be for 6:00 to 7:15PM; the second set will run from 7:30 to 8:4PM. Tickets may be purchased at the SVCC Visitor Center (contact Kathy Hohenadel), at St. John’s Herr Estate (contact Marcie Berhaupt), or at some of the participating restaurants. Directions to the event and parking locations are available with the purchase of your ticket.  Money raised benefits the Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center.  Call 684-5249 for more information.
