Last night’s borough council agenda

The July Columbia Borough council meeting was held last night at the borough hall council chambers. Council president Mary Wickenheiser presided over the approximately two-hour meeting which was called to order at 7:00 pm. Roughly 15 persons attended in addition to the borough councilors (with the exception of councilor Kelly Murphy who continues to struggle with an illness), the borough’s manager, mayor, secretary, recorder and solicitor.

Here is the July Borough Council agenda.

  1. So can anybody explain why the borough gets to skip the advertising for the newly opened position in the borough?

  2. I talked to a Borough official who told me they were advised by legal counsel that they could offer the position to Ron Miller because they had originally offered him this job before he left Columbia Borough about 6 months ago! WHAT?!?! You make an offer, the candidate decides to go play in someone else’s sandbox for 6 months and then gets handed his job back with a $5,000 pay increase when it gets too hot for him in Shrewsbury Twp. Only in Columbia where know-it-all Meiskey does what he wants and this Council rubber stamps it! Mr. Miller left because he felt Meiskey was micro-managing, what’s changed Ron? I’d like to know why you decided to come back and work for Meiskey, who is still the same know-it-all, condescending, micro-managing, poor excuse of a Borough Manager that Columbia has ever had! Bring back Teddy Ryan!
