  • DEEDS RECORDED. According to the deeds recorded (SOURCE: Lancaster Sunday News) BHI Properties, LLC acquired another Columbia property (Wells Fargo Bank NA conveyed 477 Manor St. to BHI Properties, LLC for $24,910); according to the Lancaster County Website, that brings the property count in Columbia to 29 properties.
  • The August employment/unemployment figures came out on Friday. “The government employment report, aka the official jobs report, exposes other realities. That report shows not just 14 million unemployed, but a permanent underclass of underemployed, underpaid, and marginally attached workers.” Read more here.
  • The area Restaurants and dining facilities inspections this week. Here is the report from York County. Here are the reports listed in today’s Sunday News: page one and page two; a fuller database of inspections appears at the LancasterOnline Website. All facilities in Lancaster and York counties, except those in Columbia, are listed at the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture WebsiteAnd … there were no inspections conducted by Columbia’s enforcement officer during the month of July.
