  • We like what York is doing to try to fix things – “York Mayor Kim Bracey will host a townhall meeting Thursday. The meeting, which will begin at 6 p.m. at Lincoln Charter School, West King and West streets, will be open to all city residents to voice questions and concerns. Residents of the nearby Salem Square neighborhood are encouraged to attend, city officials said. City directors will also attend the meeting to answer questions.   • POLICE LOG: “MOUNTVILLE: Joseph R. Chapman, 51, of Mountville, is being charged with DUI, reckless endangerment, reckless driving and hit-and-run in an incident Friday at Main and Lemon streets. Witnesses told police they saw Chapman’s vehicle go off the road and into a yard. He struck a barn and ran over a street sign. Police said Chapman then dropped off a small child at a daycare center. – WEST HEMPFIELD TWP.: A window was smashed and a GPS unit taken from a vehicle Thursday in the 3700 block of Hempland Road. – MOUNTVILLE: A window was smashed and a GPS unit taken from a vehicle overnight Sept. 14 in the 700 block of North Donnerville Road. – WEST HEMPFIELD TWP.: Two men took several hundred dollars worth of electronics Thursday from Kmart, 3975 Columbia Ave. One suspect fled on foot while the other left in a silver, four-door vehicle.
