- POLICE LOG: WEST HEMPFIELD TWP.: Two local teenagers were charged with stealing a car and trying to flee police. The juveniles, a 16-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl, were seen in a stolen car on Prospect Road and crashed the car when police pursued them. The teens then fled on foot and were caught by the officer. Each is charged with theft, reckless endangerment, fleeing police and driving violations. – WEST HEMPFIELD TWP.: Police charged a Columbia man and two teenagers with breaking into vehicles on Columbia Avenue. Michael Leschke, 19, and the juveniles — a boy and a girl — were spotted looking into vehicles using flashlights, police reported.
