  • REMINDER: These Borough council committee meetings and Board Meetings happen this evening; Municipal Legislation @ 6:00 pm – Board of Health @ 7:00 pm – Public Property @ 7:00 pm.   • $3.279 a gallon … that’s the price for unleaded regular at the gas stations on the east side of town. After the roller coaster pricing all summer, prices are back to where they were at the beginning of March 2011.
  • Columbia Borough School District’s Certified professional teacher Kim Shaw and support staff member Tracey Swingler were praised for their outstanding dedication and exemplary service. They recently received the Lauretta Woodson Award by the Lancaster Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees. Each received a plaque, an honorary citation, a medallion and lapel pin. The award’s namesake was a lifelong member of PASR who bequeathed a sum of money to support public education.
