The auditor, appointed by the Board of School Directors, has completed its audit of the Columbia Borough School District funds for the school year ended June 30, 2011, and in accordance with the provisions of Section 2432 of Act 30, approved March 10, 1949, as amended, give notice that said report was filed on or about December 13, 2011, in the office of the Prothonotary of the Court of Common Pleas of Lancaster County and that said report will be confirmed absolutely unless an appeal is taken therefrom within thirty days after the filing thereof. The Single Audit Report of Columbia Borough School District dated November 18, 2011 is also available for public inspection at the business office of the School District.

At last night’s special council meeting, Norm Meiskey informed council members that these meeting notices have not yet been published, but most likely would be tomorrow. The council re-organization meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 7:00 pm. The first regularly scheduled council meeting will be held on Monday, January 9, 2011 at 7:00 pm. Both meetings will be held in the Borough hall council chambers.
