  • “POLICE LOG: WEST HEMPFIELD TWP.: WEST HEMPFIELD TWP.: Shawn M. Derstler, 18, of Columbia, has been charged with the theft March 27 of 30 pounds of copper tubing and wire from a property in the 2500 block of Ironville Pike. He also was charged with criminal trespass. – Robert Stefano, 42, and Ann Lewis, 39, both of Lancaster, have been charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia in an incident Friday at a motel in the 4000 block of Columbia Avenue. Police who were called to the motel discovered Stefano unconscious and not breathing, and officers performed CPR until medical personnel arrived. Police said they later determined Stefano’s condition was the result of a drug overdose and evidence was located in the motel room. – WEST HEMPFIELD TWP.: Colette Hostetter, 39, of Mount Joy, was taken into custody after allegedly driving in an erratic manner Sunday at Marietta Avenue and Farmdale Road. Hostetter was belligerent toward police and staff at Lancaster Regional Medical Center, where she was taken for a blood test which she subsequently refused, police said. She was committed to Lancaster County Prison on a parole violation. – WEST HEMPFIELD TWP.: A red 1993 Honda Civic with Pennsylvania registration HTC6623 was reported stolen Friday from a parking lot in the 2100 block of Oak Hollow Road. – WEST HEMPFIELD TWP.: Chris Pizzola, 18, of Mountville, was arrested for DUI after police saw him allegedly driving in an erratic manner Saturday at Hill and Church streets. Pizzola and a 17-year-old passenger were charged with underage drinking. – Lancaster Intelligencer Journal/New Era
