13^th Annual 5k River Run

“Join other veteran and amateur runners for the 13^th annual 5k River Run hosted by the Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, May 25, 2013. The course for this event is a popular one – it crosses the Susquehanna River via the Veterans Memorial Bridge (Rt. 462) between Lancaster & York County which is closed to vehicular traffic during the event.  The River Run begins in Wrightsville at 8:30 am and finishes in “record time” against this scenic backdrop.  An awards ceremony featuring medals, money, and door prizes follows the River Run.  This annual event is made possible through the Gold Sponsorship of Northwest Savings Bank, the Silver Sponsorship of Anvil International, and the sponsorships of additional businesses listed on our website.

“Pre-registration is available through Friday, May 24, at 6 pm.    Registrations received through May 10 qualify for the early entry fee of $20 and are guaranteed to receive a T-shirt before the run.  Entries received after May 10 cost $25, and T-shirts will be given to those registrants while our supply lasts.   Participants may also register on the day of the Run beginning at 7:30 am at the Wrightsville Elementary School located at 300 Chestnut St., Wrightsville.  The River Run is held rain or shine.   For more information or a registration form, visit our website or call 717-684-5249.
