“MANHEIM, PA – Spooky Nook Sports 10u (10 years of age or younger) baseball team is holding tryouts this summer on August 3 and 4.  Tryouts will take place at the newly opened Spooky Nook facilities located on Spooky Nook Road in Manheim, PA.

“Coach Jeff Kurtz put together a team which has a combined record of 54-11 in its Fall/Spring tournaments.  The Nook’s 10u baseball team has attracted players from Lancaster, York, Union, and Schuylkill counties.  The Nook’s 10u baseball team looks to build on its success through the continued implementation of the team’s six “Cs”: Chemistry, Character, Commitment, Camaraderie, Competition, and Coaching.  Kurtz, along with his fellow coaches, will focus on the essentials of baseball such as proper mechanics, repetition and hard work.  Coaches and players will have access to brand new fitness equipment, weekly Sports Performance training, second to none facilities, and playing surfaces unlike anything in the region.

“Commitment to the team involves three practices a week during the offseason, two practices a week during the season, and a number of tournaments during the Spring.  With this training the team plans to attend the 2014 National Tournament and the 2015 Cooperstown Tournament.  If you are interested in attending the tryouts this August contact Larry Hess, Director of Baseball at larryh@nooksports.com.  For more information on the various programs and opportunities that Spooky Nook Sports offers be sure to visit www.spookynooksports.com.
