today’s news and information gleanings from here and there!

Quote for today… “It’s going to be an everything storm.” –  Mike Dangelo, National Weather Service meteorologist, on the weather coming this weekend. – York Daily Record.

lionIf March comes in like a lion …

  • “Sooner or later, somebody’s going to dial 911 and the 911 center is going to dispatch a fire department and nobody’s going to show up.” – Harrisburg Patriot-News.
  • Ironic! On Monday of this week Windstream announced five Lancaster County job cuts (over 400 nationally) and yesterday the same company announced “soaring profits.” Should have been “soreing” profits. Anything for corporate profiteering.
  • AARP Driver Safety Course: The 4 hour refresher course will be held at St. James Evangelical Church, 655 S 10th Street, Columbia, PA 17512-1805 on March 6. 1. Good catch, again. Proofreading one’s own sometimes falls short; especially on tight timelines. Apologies, Casper.

  2. No apology needed. I understand and have fun “calling” you on this. It is not a big deal and I do understand tight timelines. Keep up with the good reporting and don’t .sweat the small stuff.
