Given the LEGAL NOTICE that was published yesterday about the “hastily called” meeting tonite to talk about handing over $1,000,000 plus of taxable property at 137 South Front Street and the recent news (see the property transfers here) about the properties at 243 and 319 South Front Street, the owner of 143 South Front Street may be in for sudden property value escalation.
On March 20, 2012, Columbia news, views & reviews carried this “LEGAL NOTICE, published in the Lancaster Intelligencer Journal/New Era, Tuesday, March 20, 2012: “LEGAL NOTICE the Zoning Hearing Board Of the Borough of Columbia will meet on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at 7:00 P.M., in the Municipal Building at 308 Locust Street, Columbia, PA, to consider the following application(s) and/or appeal(s): River View Place Associates is requesting special exception(s) and/or variance(s) to construct self-storage units on the properties located at 243 South Front Street, 319 South Front Street, 109 Perry Street in a River-front Commercial (RC) zoned district. If you are a person with a disability wishing to attend this meeting and require an accommodation to participate in the meeting, please contact the Columbia Borough Office at 684-2467 to discuss how the Borough may accommodate your needs. The properties on the north and south sides have the aura of CEDC about them. What will the new THE be? Whatever it’ll be, the folks who want the property will want 143 South Front Street too. The property is worth more than 30 cents on the dollar!
“Lancaster County commissioners have agreed to sell the largest building in its $4.5 million, three-building Erin Court office complex for $2.895 million, a sale that could bring 300 jobs to Lancaster County.” – Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era
