I got … I got … I got …
Politicians always use their favorite word: “I”.
They always talk this way because it shores up the delusion that they are in charge of something … clearly the use of the “I” in this video skips over the “olympic and egregious” failures of consistent application of codes department over the years.
If “I got …” is to resonate with Columbia’s citizens, then it needs to change to “We got … ” and “We did.” Columbia needs to get rid of the “olympic and egregious” challenges to public safety … to economic vitality … to community growth and development.
Get rid of the “I gots …” – the inconsistencies and GOBAG’s.
This is on the Columbia Borough Website …
“Effectively 8/6/15 the 200 block of Locust Street in Columbia, PA, will be closed to traffic due to a structural emergency in a building on that block. Traffic normally using Route 441 will be rerouted according to the posted signage.
“Pedestrian traffic in close proximity to the building will be restricted.
“These restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.”
Was the inclusion of this an “I got this done.” or a “We did … ” collaboration?
