For all those entities and organizations is search for “grant opportunities” … Williams is committed to being a good community neighbor and environmental steward. That’s why we established a fund to benefit local communities within the areas affected by the Atlantic Sunrise project.
Another Faustian bargain! This time we see the results of a bargain when the “promised term-limits” proponent finally calls it a day. After promising that he’d serve no more than five terms, he’s announced he’s not going to seek office for his eleventh term as an elected public servant.
And what a legacy as the overwhelming sentiment of facebook comments following the post at LNP – Always Lancaster‘s facebook page are only to happy to say goodbye to Joe Pitts.
The Rigging of the American Market, Robert Reich’s column, demonstrates again the wreckage of having a slew of “trough suckers” pretending to be elected “public servants” as the big business interests are served repeatedly at the expense of the general population.
These lines from his column ought to be enough fodder to get American citizens to step up and vote for real “elected public servants” rather than political party sycophants:
- “Americans pay more for pharmaceuticals than do the citizens of any other developed nation.”
- “We also pay more for Internet service than do the inhabitants of any other developed nation.”
- “Why have food prices been rising faster than inflation, while crop prices are now at a six-year low?”
Reich continues to list other benefactors of corporate welfare – with protections delivered by “trough suckers” – including banking, telecoms, airlines, insurance and healthcare.
He concludes: “Which is why the rest of us must gain political power to stop the collusion, bust up the monopolies, and put an end to the rigging of the American market.“
