Tonight’s council meeting began as the council president convened the meeting at 7:00 pm. Over three dozen people nearly filled the room as six of the councillors, the mayor, the solicitor, the public works director and the finance manager sat at the horseshoe formed tables at the front of the room in the borough hall.

The borough manager and the councillor Barry Ford were absent due to illness.

Agenda items II, 10, i and II, 16 a were removed from the agenda and tabled.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:46 pm as councillor Mary Barninger requested the privilege of making her last motion. Her resignation from council, and councillor Barry Ford’s, were accepted at the meeting. The mayor, several councillors and citizens praised her and Ford for their dedication and devotion while serving the borough.

About 20 citizens were in the room for the adjournment.
