OPINION | Reader Mr. D makes a valid point with his comment, we think.

Since so many elected public servants appear to be enemies of the state, they’s surely do less damage to our American democracy if they were, gulp, not alive.

Instead we elect the near dead.

And the ethically dead.

And the morally dead.
