• On the road, continued. 114 degrees today in Tulsa, Oklahoma as we drove through around 5:00 pm. Even with lower humidity, that’s hot and the forecast is hotter for tomorrow. Sitting in stopped traffic on Route 44 for road construction delays tests the best of newer vehicles. Our 10 year old Suburban, so far, is doing well. Drove by two sizeable brush fires in Tulsa’s suburbs … it is so dry here. Stopped to tour the Will Rogers Museum in Claremore, OK. Will Rogers was quite right about politicians and ahead of his time. (See the video adjacent to this. The very attractive campus of Rogers State University is across the street from the museum. Stayed last night in tiny Chandler, OK. Home style restaurant with chicken-fried steak and blackberry cobbler, yum-m-m.
