• POLICE LOG: “COLUMBIA: Greg Scott Splain, 41, of Columbia, was cited after a call about a fight on Stump Avenue on May 3. – WEST HEMPFIELD TWP.: Ruth Eckert, 45, of Columbia was driving eastbound on the Columbia Wrightsville Bridge (Route 462) at 2:35 a.m. Friday when she struck the back of a sport utility vehicle driven by Michael Kiehl of Marietta, township police Sgt. Tim Coyle said. Eckert fled, but Columbia police located her in the borough about 10 minutes later. She was taken into custody and DUI and hit-and -run charges are pending, Coyle said.
