Lancaster, PA (December, 2016) – Lancaster County locals, Bradley Hawkins and daughter, Sarah Hawkins announced today that their comedy short, ROLLER COASTER, will be   released on Amazon later this month.

Director and actor, Bradley Hawkins from Landisville, PA (a former Lebanon High School film studies teacher), joined forces with daughter, Sarah Hawkins, an actor and producer in Los Angeles, to produce their debut short film, ROLLER COASTER, in March of 2015. The film’s inspiration came from a harrowingly humorous day Sarah experienced while on the way to an audition. After sharing her experience with her father, the two decided its relatability would transfer well to screen; and quickly put together cast and crew to round out the production.

Since the film’s Los Angeles premiere in November of 2015, ROLLER COASTER has accrued an astounding 28 awards over 19 film festivals and competitions, and hosted five premiere screenings including events at Lebanon High School and Zoetropolis Art House in Lancaster. Awards won include Best of Fest and Best Director from Columbia Festival of the Arts Film Festival (Columbia, MD), Audience Favorite Actress at the NYC PictureStart Festival, and Best Local Short from the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival.

ROLLER COASTER will be made available on December 22nd on Amazon, where audiences will have the option to rent or purchase the 15 minute comedy short film. Rental prices are set at ninety nine cents for Standard Definition, and $1.99 for HD.

ROLLER COASTER chronicles a day in the life of Emily Chadwick, an aspiring actress, who encounters “Murphy’s Law” while on the way to a potentially career-making audition. Filmed in Los A ngeles, ROLLER COASTER pays homage to the wild-eyed adventures of those crazy enough to pursue their dreams in a city designed to filter out the faint of heart.
