Today’s news and information gleanings from here and there.
Quote for today … “ Take it state now and call WGAL and tell them local cops refuse to HELP.” – Here’s a post from a string at “What’s Happening in Columbia,Pa. and Area” facebook page about a person “going around stealing people’s antiques.”

- “Pa. eatery inspections not #transPArent enough” – Editorial, The York Daily Record

- Lancaster County food serving places’ inspection results. – Lancaster Online
[NOTE: Creekside Cafe has the second-longest list of violations this week behind Zous Garden on the other side of the county … if you’re reading the “hold-it-in-your-hands version of the news. Curiously, Creekside is not shown in the online companion, Lancaster Online, but the inspection report at the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture data base shows “Observed a box of milk bones on the food prep shelf. REPEAT VIOLATION OF 2015 and 2016.” Online, what the heck is happening at Bube’s Brewery.
- York County’s food serving places’ inspections. – the PA State Department of Agriculture database.
- Click here to go to the state’s Website of inspections … and the listing of the violations at each location. The statewide directory lists inspections for all municipalities in York County and Lancaster County.… except those in Columbia – Columbia persists in having its own inspection system with its own forms and inspection items – rather than the one used statewide.
