Following the comments made by the superintendent at the Monday council meeting, the mayor tagged into the need to invest in the young people in Columbia.

“I can’t imagine the residents objecting to the spending of $20,000 … ” to find a way to help Columbia’s youths grappling with drugs, theft and disruptive behaviors that give Columbia a bad image.
