A recent property investment entity, Locust Investments, LLC., begun in December 2015, has been accumulating Columbia properties, including the former Rising Sun Hotel / Prudhomme’s.

- 50 Lancaster Avenue – the old Rising Sun Hotel / Prudhomme’s
- 111 Bethel Street
- 124 North Third Street
- 211 Locust Street
- 116 South Fourth Street
Locust Investments, LLC. also owns four Lancaster City properties on Beaver, West Vine and South Queen Streets.
Has anybody from the Columbia News been to this location recently and seen what “Locust Investments” has done with the property? They also go by “Burmar Real Estate, LLC” and “B&K Real Estate, LLC.” They also own 50 N 4th St. Somebody from the town should go and look at how the residents are living. The three “companies” are owned by the same people and they own a great deal of slum properties in Columbia……and other areas of Lancaster County. Good story here…… just saying.
Perhaps Columbia’s codes department have visited this property?
Codes stills needs to explain how six smoke alarms went missing in the house that burned on second street.
Don’t get your hopes up, Mr. D. This is Columbia.
Codes needs to prove that the seven smoke alarms actually existed and were installed. If the inspection was falsified, the inspector is likely guilty of manslaughter at the least. I can’t imagine that the State Fire marshal/inspector hasn’t become involved. There are friends, relatives, and acquaintances who must know the truth.
