Admittedly, a language thorn | “Use vs utilize.” Seemingly everyone uses the word “utilize” to excess. “The words use and utilize are increasingly used interchangeably, but in truth, these two words do not mean exactly the same thing. The word use may always be substituted for the word utilize, but the reverse is not true.” Folks who want to appear superior or high highfalutin are the ones we see using the word utilize more.
