Have Americans learned nothing since 2008?

The news today – “Household Debt Makes a Comeback in the U.S.” – is shocking.

Americans thirst for spending seems boundless. Big McMansion mortgages, big cars’ and SUVs’ loans and leases have big debt. And a new player, student loans, is now bigger than credit card debt.

Today’s sharp drop on Wall Street – probably influenced by hyper erratic governance in Wonderland – may be another sign.

So who’s to blame for the 2008 fiasco – the worst financial debacle since the great depression?

movies under the stars“Columbia Borough’s ‘Movies Under the Stars!’ Summer 2017 season starts this Friday, May 19th! Come to hear SVCC’s Music in the Park, starting at 6:30 PM at Locust Street Park and stay to watch ‘A Dog’s Purpose’ (PG), beginning at dusk. The music and movie are both free so bring your chairs and blankets and make an evening of it. There will be food trucks around the park during the music and free popcorn during the movie. Don’t forget to bring canned goods to fill the Columbia Food bank bin, located near the popcorn stand.
