Isn’t it curious | how some of the county’s “cold case” murders are being solved in an election year?

Curious, too | was the addition of this line item to the agenda at last night’s school board meeting: “Action Items :  a.  Approve Agreements for 237 S 5th Street and 239 S 5th Street to be acquired by the Land Bank and forgiving taxes due to the District.” Borough Mayor, Leo Lutz was in the gallery and encouraged the school board of directors to vote to approve the agreements.

More than 480 “views” | That’s the number of views (not necessarily persons) that last night’s Columbia Borough Budget Meeting has to date. Four of the five candidates for the four Borough councillor elected positions in the November 5 election were present at the meeting. Two candidates, Michael Shomody and James Settle II, have not attended any of the special borough council budget meetings in person.
